About the Job

A key component of CONSTELLATION’s development plan is the In-Orbit Demonstration Program which is composed of a small and innovative set of satellites and ground infrastructure which is as representative as possible of the operational constellation.

CONSTELLATION is looking for an experienced Program Manager for its In-Orbit Demonstration program to join the team in either our Toulouse or Ile-de France office.

Your key responsibilities and tasks

Under the proposed position you will oversee the program management of Our In-Orbit Demonstration Program. This will involve interfacing with the CEO and CTO to understand the business plan objectives, key strategic deliverables, system architecture and key technological bricks to be developed, and then building a program plan which would deliver on these objectives. This program plan will be progressively refined over time and by interacting with other members of the team.

The program plan shall include a proposed development philosophy (as required to meet the strategic deliverables and to derisk the final systems), a master schedule, cost estimates, a risk management plan, top level work breakdown structure, top level resource plan, a program communication plan, an outline industrial plan to achieve the in-orbit demonstration mission and suggestions on how this would need to be adapted to prepare for the deployment of the operational constellation.

You will assure the day-to-day management of the program as per the program plan, in open contact with the CEO and CTO to ensure that they are informed of progress, risks and opportunities and always in a position to take quick decisions where necessary to protect the business plan.

Other tasks may include providing presentation materials for, and interfacing with, investors and institutional stakeholders (such as ESA and CNES) to provide program information.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum master’s level qualification in engineering and/or project management;
  • At least 6 years’ experience of project management in the aerospace sector;
  • Experience in the development of commercial constellations is a strong advantage;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English;
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
