    Software Development - Intern
NEi Software, Inc., Westminster, CA, (www.nenastran.com)                                                 Dec-2008 - Present
    ·         Responsible for application level development of the NEiWorks which is basically an add-on for the SolidWorks software (which gives the SolidWorks user an ability of the FEA analysis of the CAD modal).
    ·         Currently working on debugging projects (getting through Bug Zilla by the QA team of the company) of the near future launch for latest version of NEi Fusion.
    ·         Also responsible for frequent software testing, of any updates or developments, using VM Ware for multiple Operating Systems, also on operating systems in other international languages.
    ·         Helping in debugging and installation related problems on various environments.
    ·         Actively taking part in the routine development meetings and getting real world experience of code generation and deployment.

    Teaching Associate
Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department, CSULB                                                          June 07 – May 08
    • Assisted, professors in various courses e.g. Power Plant Engineering, Analytical Mechanics-II, Thermal Engineering Laboratory, Analysis and Design of Machine Components, Intro. To Mechanical Engineering.
    • Responsible for helping students in understanding of the subjects, grading them, assigning them office hours and in certain circumstances taking lectures.
    CURRENT RESEARCH
Master’s Thesis: Optimization of upper stage launch vehicle trajectory with the use of Genetic Algorithm.
    ·         Applying Modified Genetic Algorithm (Journal of guidance, control and dynamics, Vol. 28, No. 1, January–February 2005) on the upper stage launch vehicle trajectory, in order to optimize it.
    ·         In the first phase, whole algorithm has been mapped into MATLAB, which includes, first part, converting data in to NLP variables and, second part, to create the Modified Genetic Algorithm in to MATLAB which can be subdivided into initialization, crossover, selection and termination and result plotting blocks.
    ·         Second phase mainly includes the debugging of the code and making it more generic in order to enable it for vast variety of problems. For that, the algorithm has been applied on Brachistochrone problem and the sample Space Plane Reentry problem given in the reference paper.
    ·         In the third phase, Sample Launch Vehicle Final Stage Trajectory Problem, has been analyzed and manipulated, and applied it on the above mentioned Modified Genetic Algorithm, currently working on remaining debugging works specifically for the Last Problem. Basically, the goal is to get the optimum thrust profile, i.e. to get the maximum pay load mass at the expense of the minimum possible propellant mass.

    RELATED ACADEMIC PROECTS
    ·         Orbit Propagator
    ·         Designed the Satellite Orbit Propagator with the use of ODE45 in MATLAB in order to design, estimate and track the path of satellite, while taking in to account all kind of perturbations which can affect the path of the Satellite i.e. J2, solar radiation and third body gravity effect etc.
    ·         Robust Control Design
    ·         For a highly maneuverable aero plane with the state space matrix given and with 4 state variables and 2 input variable, designed a robust controller using H¥ controller and m-synthesis and at the end analysis of robust stability and robust performance of the closed-loop system was done with the H¥ controller kinf with use of robust control tool box in MATLAB.
    ·         Research Assistant Project
    ·         Working as a research assistant in the department, trying to analyze, the vibration due to sound wave transmission between two adjacent plates, being in touch through various configurations, with help of “Statistical Energy Analysis” Method. Currently, working on manipulating the data and creating the basis algorithm in MATLAB.
    ·         Analysis of the various aspects of the Manufacturing Process
    ·         This project was done at CadMach Industry – Ahmedabad, India during Jan-Feb, 2006 as a part of final semester course work. CadMach Inc. is the one of the biggest manufacturers of the Pharmaceutical machinery in India.  During the project, various aspects of the manufacturing cycle were studied and analyzed, and also at the end, the means of improvement had been proposed.
