ACTUAL WORK STATUS AND EXPERIENCES
I’m working with Manitowoc Crane Group Italy since April 2007 as Manufacturing Engineering and Industrialization Manager for the GROVE mobile cranes plant. Main job activities are relevant to the planning, definition, preparation and start up of assembly lines for new cranes models.
Definition of all the equipments needed along the assembly lines, definition of technical specification, costs evaluation, searching of potential suppliers, discussion of technical and economical offers.
Project management activities for the new cranes models production transferred from the German plant to the Italian one.
Plant reorganization with the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy.
Cooperation with the company technical office, quality department, purchasing department for all the issues relevant the manufacturing issues.
Support the quality department for the keeping of the plant UNI ISO 9001 certification.
Organize and follow the foreigner dealers and customers visits to the plant.

1998 -2007 Alenia Spazio (now ThalesAlenia Space):
as part of satellite assembly, integration and test (AIT) department on the following projects:
- on ROSETTA Satellite as part of the AIT Team and in charge of the preparation of test specifications (i.e. Acoustic, Sine Vibration, Thermal Balance), integration, alignment and test procedures.
Involved in ROSETTA test campaign at ESA-ESTEC in Noordwijk (NL) from December 1999 to May 2000.
- from 2000 responsible as Thermo-Mechanical AIT and mechanical ground support equipment on GOCE satellite project.
- Involved in the preparation of the GOCE AIT activities planning and conduction from the project early phases till spacecraft construction
- Following partners between several European plant (Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Austria) for the activities planning and preparation of joint technical documentation
- Technical evaluation of economical proposals relevant to the provision of satellite mechanical parts and equipment from different project subcontractors
- Interface with the ETS Test Facility (Netherland) in order to discuss and optimize the GOCE mechanical and thermal test flow on both the structural model and flight model campaigns.
