NASA has selected Orbital Sciences Corporation of Dulles, Virginia, to provide launch services for the Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) mission.     ·         Installation, maintenance and modification of space shuttle orbiter vehicle, extra vehicular activity (EVA) suits and other flight crew equipment
    ·         Installation and testing of cables and wiring, removal of flight crew equipment, installation and removal of flight experiments, maintenance of orbital maneuvering system and forward reaction control system
    ·         Regularly install, remove and test electrical equipment
    ·         Installation and removal of EVA tools. Work with lifting and handling equipment, e.g. cranes, hydraset
    ·         Fuel and chemical ( to include hypergolic ) handling and maintenance
    ·         Experienced in structural bonding, thermal protection system materials, preparation and application of adhesives
    ·         Proficient in safety protocols and hazardous waste removal
    ·         Serve as hazardous waste Point Of Contact (POC.) Maintain process standards
    ·         Travel in support of space shuttle missions and prepare vehicle for transport on Boeing 747
    ·         Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Relied on to maintain required documentation
