PROFILE:
Steven is a skilled ILS Engineer, with 2 years experience across a variety of industries, including Aviation and Marine systems. Steven has worked in the Defence Sector since serving 22 years in the Military as an Aerospace Mechanical Engineer.
He takes responsibility for ILS Engineering activities including, LSA, MTA, Maintainability and LSAR population.
He has worked as part of a team that has successfully achieved milestone payment of the Type 45 Destroyer Delivery WSSOIR (Whole Ship System Optimised Inv Report).
He has worked with recognised standards including Defence Standard 00-60. Steven has worked with prime contractor BAE Systems and is familiar with their internal procedures.

2009 ~ CURRENT ILS ENGINEER, TYPE 45 DESTROYER.
- Responsible for verification, analysis and advising on the quality of the LSAR data deliveries from the T45 supplier data base.
- Analysing the through life capability of the Ship and its associated equipment and systems.
- Updating and populating the EAGLE database with the correct verified data.
- Preparing LSAR guidance presentations and briefing suppliers on the programme LSAR requirements to comply with DEF STAN 00-60.
2008 ~ 2009 ILS ENGINEER, NIMROD MRA4.
- Carrying out corrective Maintenance Task Analysis to comply with Def Stan 00-60 using Omega PS, Enovia and EDSRS toolset.
- Professionally present ARM/LSA/Upkeep characteristics at customer reviews.
- Ensure all written narratives in LSAR have been carried out using Simplified English.
2006 ~ 2008 RAF WADDINGTON, PRODUCTION MANAGER, NIMROD R1.
· Managed the Production of a Communications system in Partnership with BAE Systems for the Nimrod R1.
· Planned the Manufacture of Structural, Mechanical and Electrical items.
· Managed the stores for supply to either Manufacture or Maintain items associated with the Nimrod R1.
2004 ~ 2006 RAF BENSON, TEAM SUPERVISOR, PUMA HELICOPTERS.
· Supervised a team of 10 through the Pre-Planned Maintenance of the Puma Helicopter, ensuring work was carried out to a high standard.
· Planned the maintenance and training for personnel working on the Puma helicopter.
· Manufactured aircraft modifications to be embodied onto RAF aircraft.
· Overseeing correct standards and procedures are adhered to.
2001 ~ 2004 RAF AKROTIRI, MAINTENANCE ENGINEER, WESSEX (SAR).
- Part of a small team maintaining three 40 year old Search and Rescue (SAR) Wessex Helicopters, working long hours to ensure SAR helicopters were always available.
- Sheet metal repairs and manufacturing complex panels to be used on the Helicopter.
