Main activities are focused on:

• CFD numerical simulations of the external aerodynamic for VEGA Launch Vehicle

• CFD numerical simulations of the internal fluid-dynamic behavior of the solid rocked motor ARIANE5 and VEGA solid rocket stages (multiphase flow, pressure oscillations, etc.)

• Development of a software (MatLab) dedicated to the coupling between FEM and CFD in order to perform Fluid Structure Interaction analyses.

• Fluid Structure Interaction numerical simulations (ARIANE 5)

• CFD numerical simulations of external aerodynamic of a space re-entry vehicle (IXV program)

• CFD numerical simulations of the combustion inside a liquid rocket (Lox - CH4) motor chamber (MIRA program)

• Development and validation (against flight data) of a software (MatLab) for the aerothermal loads evaluation upon a generic LV based on a semi-empirical approach.

• Evaluation of the aerothermal fluxes upon VEGA LV by means of the aforementioned software (MatLab).

• POGO stability analysis for the VEGA LV performed by means of a dedicated software previously developed.

• Development of several MatLab tools to automatize and integrate the CFD calculations.

• Post processing of the thermal analysis of the VEGA LV system.
