    Propulsion Test Engineer for EADS Astrium LTD

    • Involves hands on testing of spacecraft chemical and electric propulsion systems at various test facilities around the world
    • Writing test procedures for working on spacecraft which are both safe and fully meet the requirements of the customer
    • Design, test and evaluation of spacecraft ground support equipment (GSE)
    • Fuelling of spacecraft at launch sites in full Biological protection apparatus (SCAPE) and trained in propellant handling (e.g. Propellant loading/offloading, emergency procedures, equipment decontamination)
    • Worked on a variety of projects including Telecommunications Spacecraft, Military Spacecraft and Science missions.
    • Head of COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) for Astrium’s Propulsion Test department
