    Selected Achievements

     

    Development of Test Procedures. Charged with developing test procedures for the US military’s Falcon Hypersonic Re-entry Vehicle Program. Responsible for verifying that all systems worked properly prior to launch. After identifying the numerous program requirements, designed and implemented a plan that created 18 new test procedures while reducing procedure development time by 40%. Recognized by customer for keeping stakeholders informed of up to date status.

    Results:

    • Procedures proved to be thorough and accurate and met all requirements.
    • The Falcon vehicle was launched successfully.

     

    Liaison Communications.Tasked with developing the test processes for the Missile Defense Agency’s Targets program. Researched the missile configurations and meet personally with the other professionals involved in the program. Coordinated sessions with all stake-holders in the project to streamline the related tasks and activities for developing the missile testing program. Developed the program testing Concept of Operations (ConOps).

    Results:

    • Effectively directed all entities to join their efforts together collectively.
    • The ConOps successfully tested a range of target missile options

    Design Coordination. The equipment for a vital pressure test for the Titan missile was unavailable thus causing delay in its shipment schedule to the launch pad. Collaborated directly with the tooling department to develop the specifications, design, and manufacture of the test equipment.

    Results:

    • A pressure test was conducted according to schedule.
    • The missile was launched and performed its flight with no anomalies.

     

    ► Project Quick Study. On short notice, was assigned by management to participate in the cross-functional team investigating the destruction of the space shuttle Columbia during a TDY (Temporary Duty) assignment to New Orleans at Lockheed Martin’s External Tank manufacturing facility. The team was researching the failure of the foam shedding on the External Tank and the role it played in the shuttle’s explosion. Accelerated own study of the foam application, met numerous times with the engineers who applied the foam, and prepared reports on the findings.

    Results:

    • Recognized for producing conclusive test reports on the application of foam.
    • As a consequence, the next shuttle flight experienced minimal loss of foam.

     

    Multiple Projects Management. When assigned to work and contribute to multiple projects, strived to remain current with all the cross-functional units involved. Created mechanical ground support equipment itemized requirements for the GOES satellite, developed procedures to install thermal blankets on the MUOS satellite, created test fittings for the F35 fighter, and developed documents that located strain gauges on the F35 wings.

    Results:

    • Successfully developed a comprehensive plan for producing 18 test procedures for the launch site testing of the Falcon launch vehicle.
    • Coordinated efforts with design engineers in Sunnyvale, CA, subcontractors with Orbital Sciences in Arizona, and with the customer in Washington, DC.
