    Thesis
A Statistical Characterization of the High Latitude Ionosphere with a Focus on Possible Source Mechanisms for Ion Upwelling  This study applies statistical methods to field aligned incoherent scatter radar data in order to determine basic characteristics of the high latitude ionosphere. In addition, the momentum equation and multivariate analysis are applied to which mechanisms are likely to be initiating the flow of ions from the ionosphere to the magnetosphere.

    Professional Experience
    Post doc researcher – Math in a Cultural Context                      7/09 – 8/10
Assisted in writing curriculum for teaching math at a 6th grade level such that lessons meet or exceed state and federal standards and use Yup’ik cultural approaches. Assisted with data analysis of pre and post tests. Co-lead teacher workshops and elive classes.

    Assistant Observer – U.S Geological Survey                    3/08 – 7/09
Took scientific readings of the geomagnetic field twice a week, entered data and posted forms to website.
