Currently I am working as a Senior Communication Engineer (Satellite) at Dunya TV (Pvt.) Ltd. Lahore. My responsibilities are as under,
1 Provide Technical Support on Telephone to the hub sites.
2 If the Support is not enough then have to visit the site to solve the problem.
3 Deal all co-ordinations with the vendors and manufactures of different satellite equipments i-e Tandberg, Aglis, Visilink, C-COM, Rockwellcollins, Radyne, Paradisedata, Mitec, Satcom and Prolink for troubleshooting, up gradation, support and purchasing purposes. Also deal with Intelsat-10 and Express AM-1 satellite operators for troubleshooting purpose.
4 Installation and Commissioning of new satellite earth stations.
5 Monitoring and troubleshooting main Uplink Transmission (at Satellite Intelsat-10) equipped with Tandberg Encoders, Tandberg Modulators, Aglis BUCs and Redundant Switches for BUCs and Encoders/Modulators.
6 Installation and operation of DSNG vans equipped with Automatic Advent Satellite antenna, SWEDISH Suitcase, INETVU and Local DSNGs.
7 Frequency Band division and Planning for remote sites.
8 Routing of A/V signal from the IRDs to their destination.
