2. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS The candidate is very experienced Software Engineer and System Architect in information technologies. He has been in IT sector since 1988. He completed many Software and IT Projects in Public Sector and Government Institutions. He has experience especially in Visual Basic, C#, Visual Age Smalltalk, Java, Object Oriented Programming, MSSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle IT infrastructures and networks, Web Services and SOA architecture. Then, he has moved his experience to Space Industry in last 5 years. Because of the experience in different information technologies, he could adopt easily to Space Industry, Ground Station and Simulation Project in which inter disciplinarysolutions were needed. Ground Segment and System Engineering: He has been working for 5 years in Ground Station System Engineering. He has certificate from Telespazio. In that period he works with colleagues from main primes of Europe Space Industry such as Astrium, Thales, Telespazio and OHB.
Some GS and SE Projects which candidate involved:
GOKTURK-1 Satellite Project: Below 1 meter high resolution satellite project. Prime contractors are Telespazio and Thales Alenia Space. Within GOKTURK-1 project scope he worked with OHB, ASTRIUM, MBA and THALES from the beginning of the project. He had the opportunity of working and understand GS System Engineering, Requirement Management, WBS, Design and Architecture.
GOKTURK-2 Satellite Project: 2,5 meter resolution National R&D project. He is working in Ground Station requirements management, system design and architecture with TUBITAK UZAY. He prepared a procurement and architecture design for GS installation as an backup station in TAI for GOKTURK-2 Satellite.
GOKTURK-3 SAR Satellite Project: He has joined from the mission analysis (Phase 0) to procurement process. He prepared Ground Station System Design and Report with Astrium for Turkish Under Secretariat for Defence Industries.
Space Simulation Office Project: The project is required from Turkish Under Secretariat for Defence Industries . It was very similar to CDF. He was the Leader of the project. He study ESA CDF for project infrastructure.
He has ECSS standards knowledge especially in ECSS-E-70 Part 1A (Ground Station), ESCC-E-10, ECSS-E-TM-10-21A (Simulation and Modeling), ECSS-E-40 (Software Engineering)
Satellite Tracking Application for Turkish Air Force: (C#, MS SQL) It’s an application tracking satellite and stores passes in database. It uses SGP4 propagator. Reporting, 2D Graphical visualisation of satellites, tracks, day-night line etc.
