• Selected as primary point of contact for five Kennedy Space Center technicians during Quick Bird.
• Worked directly with Earthwatch Corporation to integrate and test Focal Plane Unit components integral to the Quick Bird series.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
2004 - present SUPERVISOR, BOLOMETER MANUFACTURING
Flir Corporation, Indigo, Santa Barbara, California
• Advanced to position from Senior IR Detector Packaging Technician - Lead.
• Direct Bolometer FPA Manufacturing operations, including hiring and training of technicians and engineers, processing, forecasting and planning manufacturing strategy.
• Determine manufacturing priorities and standards for array processing and equipment utilization.
• Provide technical leadership for various wafer processing activities, including yield analysis, process improvements and process documentation.
1999 – 2003 SATELLITE SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Lockheed Martin, Thornton, Colorado
• Core member of engineering team acting as Controller and Commander for all real-time satellite contact during in-flight operations. Interpreted mission-planning schedules.
• Performed validation and review of command plans prior to satellite contact.
• Worked with Mission Managers and Real-Time Network Administrator to handle configuration and verification of ground system readiness for satellite contact, and to receive stored imaging data.
• Monitored real-time spacecraft health and safety, telemetry, wide band data collection, uploads and commands. Assessed anomalous conditions in orbit and on the ground.
• Maintained contact with redundant ground stations across the globe.
• Analyzed telemetry information after each pass of the spacecraft.
• Monitored, tested and assessed ground readiness of multiple antennas.
• Trained both Lockheed Martin and new employees in the satellite controller position.
1997 – 1999 PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN III
Ball Aerospace and Technology Corporation, Boulder, Colorado
• Under contract with Earthwatch Corporation, completed three satellite integration projects: QuickScat; QuickBird I and Quick Bird II.
• Built and fabricated all harnesses from mock-up to full integration and test phase on flight satellites.
• Provided valuable insight to the harnessing of the propulsion decks for both Quick Bird II and I.
• Utilized a wide range of decision-making control while fabricating and routing the single most intensive harness, used for tracking, telemetry and control, on QuickBird I and II.
• Executed many engineering changes to harnesses during tests of flight structure.
1984 – 1997 SENIOR PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

• Accepted increased levels of responsibility throughout thirteen year career.
• Worked with engineers on prototype hybridization for missile guidance systems and IR detectors.
