    Telespazio, a Finmeccanica/Thales company, is one of the main world-wide players in the satellite services: from management of satellites to Earth observation services, from satellite navigation to the broadband multimedia telecommunications.

     

     

    I work within the Systems & Services Engineering Department on the development of the national satellite telecommunications system used by Italian Civil Protection Agencies and Fire Brigades for emergency management.

    I work also on international projects launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) regarding the development of Civil Protection satellite communication services, with the objective of enhancing interoperability between the Civil Protection Agencies from different countries during deployments within or outside Europe.

     

    During the activities I gained experience in the following areas, both technical and managerial:

    ·         Telecommunications technologies adopted by Civil Protection Agencies for emergency management and interoperability issues between the different technologies
