I worked on the Lockheed Martin Outsource Desktop Initiative for NASA (ODIN) contract at Marshall Space Flight Center performing upgrades on the MAC computer operating systems from the Tiger operating system to the new Leopard operating system. I resolved any issues encountered after the upgrades including network connectivity, printer problem resolution, and software updates.

I traveled to automobile dealerships around the north central area of Alabama and Mississippi performing software upgrades on the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Smart Desktop Agent (SDA) and the WEB Suite 2000 software for the desktop PCs at these dealerships. These software installations included determining that each PC had the correct operating system and memory, as well as exactly which software upgrades to load on each PC. I also performed troubleshooting in order to resolve problems with the software upgrade installation.

I had two areas of responsibility while employed at All Points Logistics (APL). I traveled to Army bases around the US installing secure wireless Local Area Networks (LANs). Included in these installations was the procurement, configuration and installation of Foundry wireless access points, AirDefense intrusion detection devices and gateways, AirFortress access control servers, and the installation and configuration of Pointsec hard drive encryption and Senforce personal firewall software on all of the client desktop PCs and laptops. When I wasn’t traveling and installing the wireless LANs, I was the System Administrator at the APL office in Madison, AL. I provided technical support for all of the office IT users. I maintained all of the desktop PC and laptop hardware and software, as well as the office wireless network infrastructure. This included installing, configuring and upgrading the Windows-based operating systems for that equipment.

I was also the Project Engineer responsible for the validation and verification of the space shuttle data collection system located in the Data Reduction Center at Marshall Space Flight Center.

I was responsible for providing technical services engineering support for the NASA Wide Area Network (WAN) projects. I engineered the installation of NASA Wide Area Network (WAN) voice and data system solutions for space shuttle mission and mission support projects, and International Space Station projects. I assessed, designed and produced the engineering implementation instructions for each NASA WAN project solution and provided monitoring and technical support during each project's implementation. These system solutions primarily involved the installation of channelized and fractional T-1's.

I also performed circuit level testing and real time trouble resolution of network voice and data services using state-of-the-art telecommunications test equipment. |
