Summer ’08                         Odyssey Space Research Group – Intern.  Lead landing stability analysis for Odyssey’s proposed

three and four legged lunar landers for NASA’s Altair program(Phase A). Lead research for aerospike engine trade study for Altair redesign; Presented findings to NASA’s Altair project leaders during final Altair Phase A meeting.

 

Fall ‘06, Summer ‘07        Orbital Sciences Corporation -- Engineering Co-op.  Served on a team of engineers that developed and managed sensors and ground support equipment for geosynchronous satellites.  Supported performance analysis for Attitude Control Systems group. Personally wrote test procedures, designed cables, was the cognizant engineer for the earth sensor assembly ground support equipment, functioned as an on-site representative for the repair of reaction wheels at Honeywell (Arizona), and observed the everyday goings on of the team.

 

Spring 2007                         Taos Co-operative – Head Wednesday Night Chef – Led two teams of three, one preparation crew, and one cooking crew, in order to prepare two distinct meals for 115 people within a four hour completion deadline.  As team leader, identified and executed critical path tasks; communicated and delegated remainder of work to the two teams.  Faulty recipes and inadequate supplies demanded improvisation and adaptation for all meals.

 

Summer 2006                      Protherm Inc. – Industrial Painter’s Assistant.  Cleaned, sandblasted, and painted various pipe racks and assemblies at DOW Chemical, Freeport Division

 

Summers 2004/5                Self-Employed – Project and Maintenance Worker.  Secured various projects such as retail bookstore remodeling and furniture moving; removed hazardous plant growth and building materials from private property; maintained lawns and stabilized pool chemistry
