CURRENT LEGAL INVOLVEMENT
Acting in South Africa on behalf of The Interpublic Group of Companies, one of the largest advertising companies in the world, in a management buy-out, merger and acquisitions in South Africa, financing of transactions, black empowerment transactions and general commercial transactions. I am still involved in these activities for the client and similar work for other clients.
During 2003 I have actively become involved in the aviation industry, not only in actual flying but also represented operators in claims for damages, disputes with air navigation services and the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa.
During 2007 I have obtained a masters degree in aviation law and space law and since then have actively kept up to date with developments in the aviation and space industry.
During my studies at the Leiden University been expose to the World Trade Organization and the workings of the European Union.
Thesis for masters degree with the topic: “The obligation of Space Faring States to Underdeveloped Countries in respect of the Common Heritage of Mankind Principle”.
