OVERVIEW

Telecommunication Specialist experienced in the field of spread spectrum transmission and navigation signals. I’ve been involved in a projects dealing with the development of receiver for spread spectrum system and testing of this (Sicral 1B)and  various projects about  navigation messages (SOftware Radio GENerator Signal (Sorgens), SoftWare per Applicazioni di Navigazione (SWAN) ).

QUALIFICATIONS

·          Laurea in Telecommunications Engineering, University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy   (Italian GPA 103/110).

Thesis

Title: "Remote Web accessibility for laboratory resources for analysis of 802.11b LAN behaviour  under external interference from nearest channels"

Thesis description:

Area: Wireless Systems.

Tasks:

  • MAC LEVEL analysis of 802.11b standard and spread spectrum technique
  • LAN behaviour analysis  under external interference from nearest channels

Tools:

  • Vectorial generator E4438C and spectrum analyzer E4404B though Agilent instrument

Outputs:

  • The aim of work is to study the behaviour of the signal 802.11b when near channel, in frequency, transmits a signal with the same  power. For making this, there are two W-LAN :one of them known as mean path and another one known as interference path. Every W-LAN is characterized  by an Access Point and  two pc (one for  traffic transmission  and other one  for receiving it); moreover, in the main W-LAN there are in  network a spectrum analyzer and a sniffer tool set in receiving workstation. During transmission of both WLAN, MAC PROTOCOL standard for 802.11b was checked by the sniffer while the quality of signal tested by spectrum analyzer. Then, interference signal was replaced by vectorial generator and generated thanks to the design of appropriate driver, programming in Labview. All necessary functions for instruments were organized in DDL on platform .NET: so the experience is ready for remote web accessibility for laboratory resources.
