Job Profile includes Plan for new fiber connectivity, capacity calculation for the future connectivity, Planning and testing of POI connectivity at MTNL’s premises, IP address planning for the network element, Planning for GPRS link on transmission media via Value added Services Department, Site Survey, Preparing Design Documentation, Equipment Installation, Commissioning and Performing Acceptance test of PDH, SDH Projects.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
v Presently working with Hutchison Max Telecom Limited ORANGE as SR.Engineer – Transmission since Dec – 2004.
ORANGE is a basic Telecom service provider in Mumbai. In the SDH Network, they are using ECI’s Micro SDM (STM-1) as Network Element and at hub location XDM-500 and XDM-1000. They are also using more than 875 SDH & PDH nodes of NEC, Ericsson and DMC.
v Feb 2002 to Dec 2004 with Commtel Pvt.Ltd. as SR. Engineer –Project Group.
COMMTEL is a value Added Partner of NOKIA, MARCONI in India and Middle East and Sub-Contractor for NORTEL Networks and ECI Telecommunications.
It has successfully designed and implemented major projects in India and Middle East. It has a vast Experience in Pipeline projects in India and Middle East.
PROJECTS HANDLED
A. SDH TECHNOLOGY.
1. Qatar Telecom.
· STM-16 Ring with Marconi Digital Cross Connect Equipment MSH80 having capacity of 128 X 128 STM-1.
It is basically a normal ring type network which is using 4 DXC equipment .The network was designed to use 4 Marconi Digital Cross Connect Equipment. The Marconi MSH80 DXC is provisioned with a Cross Connect Capacity of 128 X 128 STM-1.Which supports cross-connection at VC-12,VC-3,VC2-5C, and VC-4 level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Site Survey of the nodes for finalizing position of transmission racks, Power requirement for system and making list for Installation required materials.
Ø Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System.
Ø Commissioning of the Transmission System and Cross Connect Equipment.
Ø Conducting Acceptance Tests of the System with the Customer.
Ø Lining up Of the Network.
Ø Network Acceptance test for a Trial Run of 48 Hours with 100.00% Availability Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System as per Marconi’s Standards.
2. ERNAKULAM AND MUMBAI VSNL.
· Installation and commissioning of DIGITAL CROSS CONNECT EQUIPMENT MSH84 having cross-connection capacity of 256 x 256 STM-1.
MSH84 is basically a Digital Cross Connect equipment having cross connect capacity of 256 x 256 STM-1 which supports cross-connection at VC-12,VC-3,VC-2-5C and VC-4 level. Also have done expansion of these existing system on live traffic at Mumbai VSNL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Site Survey of the nodes for finalizing position of transmission racks, Power requirement for system and making list for Installation required materials.
Ø Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System.
Ø Commissioning of the Transmission System and Cross Connect Equipment.

2. MUMBAI VSNL
· Installation and commissioning of Marconi SMA equipment
This project involved total 9 SMA equipment located at VSNL Fort and VSNL Prabhadevi in Mumbai .SMA is basically add-drop multiplexer having capacity from STM-4 to STM-16.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System.
Ø Commissioning of the Transmission System and SMA Equipment.
Ø Conducting Acceptance Tests of the System with the Customer.
Ø Network Acceptance test for a Trial Run of 24 Hours with 100.00% Availability Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System as per Marconi’s Standards.
4. TATA TELESERVISERVICES LIMITED
· Installation and commissioning of MARCONI MSH11C(STM-1),SMA-4(STM-4) and SMA-16(STM-16) equipment.
It is a mesh type network for Tata Teleservices Ltd having more than 125 nodes in Karnataka region using Marconi STM-1(MSH11),STM-4(SMA4) and STM-16(SMA16) equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System.
Ø Commissioning of the Transmission System and SMA Equipment.
Ø Conducting Acceptance Tests of the System with the Customer.
Network Acceptance test for a Trial Run of 24 Hours with 100.00% Availability Installation and Powering up of the Transmission System as per Marconi’s Standards
5. BHARTI INFOTEL LIMITED
· ECI STM16 Cross Connect:
It is an on going project being implemented for the NLD backbone of BHARTI INFOTEL Limited using ECI Equipment.Bharti has designed the network using ECI’s XDM-100 SDH equipment. XDM-100 is an IP based Digital Cross Connect Equipment with a Cross Connect Capacity of 192 STM1 and with a Line rate of STM16.
Job profile is Installation, Commissioning, lining up the system and doing the Acceptance Test (AT) of the Nodes. Have completed more than 45 nodes in 1 ½ month.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Finalizing and Installation of the Transmission System.
Ø Powering up the Node and Commissioning the Node.
Ø Conducting Acceptance Tests of the System with the Customer.
· STM4 to STM16 Up gradation.
This Project involved Up gradation of SDH network from STM4 to STM16 with Any/Minimum Downtime on Live Traffic in Maintenance Window.
Activity Involves Backup of Configuration Banks, connections etc, Shifting of Traffic Through Protection Aggregate card, Replacement of Card, reloading the Configuration in the New Card.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Prepare the Activity plan and coordinating with the NOC representative and the other team members.
Ø Carry out the activity independently without traffic disruption.
· STM 16 RETROFIT.
The project involved retrofitting of STM16 cards in 5 SDH Rings of without any Downtime on live traffic in Maintenance Window.
Activity Involves Backup of Configuration Banks, connections etc, Shifting of Traffic Through Protection Aggregate card, Replacement of Card, reloading the Configuration in the New Card.
ECI eNM.
ECI eNM is a Network Management System, which is handling 220 numbers of STM-1 O/E Network Element and 8 numbers of Digital Cross Connect equipment presently.
Activity involves planning of new network Elements, commissioning and configuring them as per the network requirement. Also provisioning bandwidth for other service provider for example. TATA Power, VSNL, BPL etc.
TEST Equipment well acquainted with:
· Acterna :ANT5, ANT 20 STM 1/4/16 Analyser with Jitter0.172.
· Anritsu : Digital Transmission Analyser, SDH/PDH Analyzer
· Agilent : Omni BER Tester, OTDR 1310/1550 NM E6000B.
· W & G : PFA 30,PFA 35, E1 and Data tester135/125. Optical Power Meter, and Laser Source.
COMPUTER SKILLS
