Technical Publication Specialist (Technical Writer)
- Senior Technical Publication Specialist responsible to develop and maintain, for the entire amphibious CL215T & CL415 aircraft division and Challenger 600 aircraft, all inter-wiring diagrams between all major avionics equipment, systems and sub-systems (Engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, landing gear etc…).
- Responsible to maintain Manuals integrity, per customer, by revising and incorporating regularly all appropriate modifications (i.e. Design changes, new customer requirements, ECOs, service bulletins etc…), in order to deliver the latest Manual update to the customer.
- Responsible to establish work estimates (Scheduling and Budget) on new proposals, on-going projects and existing backlog for all amphibious aircraft’s.
- Liaison with engineering and follow-up with Manuals into production to ensure the quality of the final deliverable to the Customer (Prints and CD-ROM).
- Edit and correct colleagues' work when required.
Achievements
· Completed and delivered the Wiring and Schematic Manuals for the CL215T (Turbo Prop) aircraft (2 volumes) to the customer.
· Completed and delivered the Wiring and Schematic Manuals for the CL415 aircraft (14 volumes and up to 17 revisions) to several customers.
· Completed phase 1 of the search-and-rescue CL415 Wiring Manual.
· Completed after reviewing, updating and transferring from "hand written" format to CAD format (Autotrol software) all CL215 relevant documents to a complete Manual.
· Frequently helped illustration group by revising mechanical parts for Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Illustrated Parts Catalogs (Autotrol software).
· Participated with the “Manual Production” group in the finalization of other technical Manuals (Involving several Technical Publication Specialist) in order to reduce production time (Interleaf software).
· Participated as a Six-Sigma agent, on my on-going projects, in the evaluation and measurement of the Manual’s revision cycle time. Our findings increased productivity and reduced the implementation cycle time by 45%.
