IN FLIGHT CANADA  (Montreal) November 2005-Apl.2006

Responsibilities

       Designer for the Audio and internet systems installation for AirCanada’s CRJ-705 and AIRBUS-320.

Creating wiring diagrams from Block diagrams given from the engineers. Creating wiring harness   assemblies for all the systems and ISPS installation drawing.  Creating the BOM for all the harness drawings selecting the right part number. All work was completed on AUTOCAD 2006.

ALSTOM Transportation N.Y. (Hornell)      February 2004- Sept.2005

Responsibilities

Designer/draftsperson for updating and creating schematics and wiring diagrams for “MARTA” Mass Atlanta Rapid transit Authority. Type CQ 310, 311 & 312 cars.
This assignment also included mechanical design component selection and customer specification.
- Designer for R-160 project, the design was completed in Japan but the production was at ALSTOM transportation. Responsible for printing all the drawings, making sure that there were no mistakes on the designs. Checking the B.O.M using J.D.E different levels. Checking if all the parts were released, reporting problems with drawings or parts, writing reports. Liason with the shop concerning problems or questions with the drawings and parts.

- I revised all propulsion drawings for R-142 with Autocad 2000.

 

FLYING BULLS (SALZBURG AUSTRIA) March 2003-October 2003

Responsibilities                                                                                                                                             

Designer for avionics systems for McDonnell Douglas DC-6B aircraft.

Because the aircraft had a complete overhaul refurbishing to VIP class, my responsibilities were to develop all the wiring diagrams for systems such as VHF, Hfcom, Transponder, and Skywatch e.t.c. All the work is been done using AutoCAD 2000.

Responsibilities
                       

Technical Publication Specialist (Technical Writer)

-     Senior Technical Publication Specialist responsible to develop and maintain, for the entire amphibious CL215T & CL415 aircraft division and Challenger 600 aircraft, all inter-wiring diagrams between all major avionics equipment, systems and sub-systems (Engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, landing gear etc…).

- Responsible to maintain Manuals integrity, per customer, by revising and incorporating regularly all appropriate modifications (i.e. Design changes, new customer requirements, ECOs, service bulletins etc…), in order to deliver the latest Manual update to the customer.

-    Responsible to establish work estimates (Scheduling and Budget) on new proposals, on-going projects and existing backlog for all amphibious aircraft’s.

-     Liaison with engineering and follow-up with Manuals into production to ensure the quality of the final deliverable to the Customer (Prints and CD-ROM).

-     Edit and correct colleagues' work when required.

 

Achievements

· Completed and delivered the Wiring and Schematic Manuals for the CL215T (Turbo Prop) aircraft (2 volumes) to the customer.

· Completed and delivered the Wiring and Schematic Manuals for the CL415 aircraft (14 volumes and up to 17 revisions) to several customers.

· Completed phase 1 of the search-and-rescue CL415 Wiring Manual.

· Completed after reviewing, updating and transferring from "hand written" format to CAD format (Autotrol software) all CL215 relevant documents to a complete Manual.

· Frequently helped illustration group by revising mechanical parts for Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Illustrated Parts Catalogs (Autotrol software).

· Participated with the “Manual Production” group in the finalization of other technical Manuals (Involving several Technical Publication Specialist) in order to reduce production time (Interleaf software).

·  Participated as a Six-Sigma agent, on my on-going projects, in the evaluation and measurement of the Manual’s revision cycle time. Our findings increased productivity and reduced the implementation cycle time by 45%.
