10/2005 - 03/2006 Thesis-degree realization:
Title: ‘A software-hardware platform for the study of complex dynamics based on FPGA and ACE16K board’.
Description: The work has been realized using a platform based on a FPGA board, for the access to the ACE16K chip (a processor able to put together, into a single architecture, the potentiality of the analogical and parallel processing, typical of the CNN, and the versatility of the digital system.
Objective: realizing the lower level control of the CNN (Cellular Nonlinear Network) ACE16K chip, exalting the chip performance, simplifying the execution of some operations, such as program-memory writing or reading, image loading e downloading from and to a PC, image acquisition through the optical device integrated into the chip.
Teacher: Prof. Paolo Arena.

( Yverdon Les Bains (Swiss)) such as student and staff member.
· My role as student: developing a robot system vision for skittles recognition and localization.
Using two web-cams, the robot acquires images from two different points. It processes and transfers them for the motor control motion.
In this way, the robot autonomously, is able to play for a match of 90’’, against another independent robot.
· Staff member: Referee.
