4/98-1/02:  Senior Software Engineer, Maritime Intelligence Web Development Team, BAE Systems (formerly Marconi Systems Technology), Office of Naval Intelligence, Washington, D.C.  As the technical lead, provided software development and maintenance of classified Internet web applications using XML, Perl, Java, JavaScript, HTML, topic/knowledge maps, portal technology, and digital imagery; submitted written reports and conducted other tasks required of a technical lead.  Developed Web to CD application, a tool which extracts HTML, graphical, and other Internet files from a web server’s database and imports the files to a CD.  Provided backup support for a maritime imagery web-based application.  Served as a member of the Department of the Navy’s Task Force Web Portal XML Working Group.  Coordinated and implemented the command’s Task Force Web XML effort.

Software Engineer, Battlefield Visualization Team, BAE Systems (formerly Marconi Systems Technology), Office of Naval Intelligence, Washington, D.C.  As a software developer, used the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), Java, and HTML to develop a 3D web-based battlefield imagery application.  Full life cycle coverage included design/development of the application as well as integration of components from outside contractors.
