PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Resident Quality Engineer                 2004 - Present

MDA (Macdonald Dettwiler), Ottawa, ON

RADARSAT 2 Quality Assurance Engineer.

·         Responsible for ON Site Quality Assurance Support for the Assembly Integration and Test Team for the RADARSAT 2 Satellite.

·         Lead the documentation of Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) and facilitate their resolution by chairing Material Revision Board Meetings (MRBs).

·         Review and approve Operation Control Sheets for completeness, required Inspection points, Safety and technical accuracy.

·         Follow up on Special Test Requests (STRs) as the main source of root cause investigation of anomalies reported in NCRs.

·         Procure specialty tests (e.g. NDT Inspections, Failure Analyses)

Deputy QA Leader (In absence of QA Leader)

·         Supervise five QA/QC personnel

·         Manage daily operations of the RS2 DFL QA team (work loads, shift scheduling).

·         Review and sign Material and Services Requisitions (MSR) as QA representative.

·         Interface with Canadian Space Agency personnel to address QA and safety concerns.

·         Chair Test Readiness Reviews and Test Review Boards.

RADARSAT 2 Pre-Shipment Review (PSR) Project Engineer

·         Led Space Segment towards successful Launch Site Pre-shipment through the development and management of requirements, identification of resources and monitoring of progress.

·         Coordinate technical content and logistics for PSR.

RADARSAT 2 Launch Campaign

·         Performed Spacecraft Flight Final configuration verification / inspections during all phases of launch campaign.
