1.  Developement of a Software in JAVA3D for the Visualisation of Moon Impact Probe sequence of events and final touch down on the surface of the moon.

Chandrayaan-I is INDIA’s first lunar mission. Chandrayaan-I will orbit in a 100 by 100 circular orbit around the moon. As a part of chandrayaan mission, it is planned to imapct a object called Moon Impact Probe on the surface of the moon. To make the understanding of the mission sequence and concepts of MIP easy, a viuslaisation software called MIP3D was developed.

2.  Development of software in JAVA and Fortran for Analysis of Long term Relative orbital motion and Plume Interaction possibilty.

Developed software for deployment of multiple satellites and ensuring no collision among them in the long term. The software gives separation velocity and the orientation of the vehicle at the time of deployment referred to as non-collision combination for each of the satellite. The selection is done analytically, without actually propagating the relative motion of the satellites.  This serves as an alternate approach to Monte Carlo technique that requires large computational time and effort to select similar non-collision combination. This software is under regular use for all multiple satellites missions of PSLV.

3.  Development of software in C++ and Fortran for Analytical Orbit propagation with Simplified General perturbations.

Orbit propagation is one of the important activity in astrodynamics. Since no analytical solution exist for system of three or more body, Orbits ar propagated numerically. Simplified Genral Perturbation Theory presents a analytic approach for solving such systems (though not fully analytic). A software called EayProp was developed using SGP4 theory and is used extensively in the division.

4.  Development of software in JAVA and Fortran for generating optimal    thrust direction profile of the trajectory for a soft landing vehicle on the Moon.

Developed software to generate optimal thrust direction profile of the trajectory for a soft landing vehicle on the Moon. Optimal strategy is devised to achieve vertical soft landing.

5.  Development of software in Fortran for Post Flight Analysis. Software was developed for post flight assessment of vehicle performance and the orbit achieved, which takes the TLE’s (Two Line Elements) as input. The software is extensively used in after every flight, in the divisions.

Trainings undergone

1)    ISRO Induction Training Program (IITP)

Successfully completed ISRO induction training program from August Feb 2005 to December May 2005. Training comprises of various modules about technical and general aspects about launch vehicles and satellites. It has given deep insight about the development work currently running all ISRO centers across the country.

2)    MSc. Dissertation

Did summer project entitled "Application of Mathematical Methods in Biomass Estimation and Analysis" in May -June 2002 under the guidance of  Dr. K.P. Sharma, Scientist, RRSSC, IIRS Campus, Dehradun for the partial fulfillment for the award of degree of M.Sc. Mathematics in Industrial Mathematics and Informatics and Developed software in C.

 Professional Achievements

q       Qualified Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Scholarship for year 2005.

q       Stood first in the interview conducted by ISRO for scientist post in September 2004.

Conferences

Ø       Participation in PLANEX-VI workshop on Remote sensing and Chandrayaan-I Mission held at NRSA, Hyderabad during October 22-28, 2005. Attended lectures on different topics related to payload in Chandrayaan mission and remote sensing of the. Made a presentation on ‘How to get to moon and mars’

Ø       Participation in ISTAM conference held at IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur from 14-17, December, 2005. Presented a paper titled ‘Re-entry experiences with ‘KSGEN  Software
