PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Lean Engineering: GD&T for Gulfstream Aerospace
Engineer in a team of 6 members; Using Visio and other programs, I performed the following tasks:
Analysis and amelioration of the flow of information concerning “Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerances”(GD&T)
· Reevaluation of processes concerning design, manufacturing supply chain and other aspects during a product’s lifecycle
· Used Six Sigma and Lean tools such as Flow charts to improve the GATES for the GD&T process
· Insistence on integrations of IPTs, VSMs, PDTs, E-PIDs, RFIDs and the use of a central database
-Preliminary design of a three stage rocket capable of placing satellites in LEO (Pegasus)
-Detailed design of a three stage rocket with a 50 kg payload able to reach GTO
-Detailed design of an ARIAN 5 like rocket able to reach a GTO orbit
Engineer in a team of 6-11 members; Using MatLab, CATIA and other programs, I was involved in performing the following tasks:
· Design of the shape and size of the vehicle and delta V calculations for orbit
· Design of the Liquid, Solid and Hybrid propulsion rocket motors for multiple vehicles
· Stability/Structural analysis and optimization of the vehicle
· Design of the atomizer: pressure calculations, CAD
· Nozzle design: CAD, Shape, cooling method
· Combustion Chamber: CAD, thickness, length, structural analysis
· Fin design: Aerodynamic qualities
· Responsible for multiple CAD parts in CATIA V5
