Currently being trained by ThalesAlenia Space in France to Operate and maintain a TCR Satellite Ground Control Station in Gharian Libya.

Main Job Tasks

·         Plant planning and provision of all access network i.e. point to point customer radios, wireless local loop systems, backbone transmission equipment, pair gain equipment and cables; and electrical power to meet the expectations of customers in the region.

·         Demand forecasts, feasibility studies and cost benefit economic analysis.

·         Frequency planning interference studies, microwave link design and analysis using radio planning editing software

·         Network provision for the area through BTO’s, tenders and other similar arrangements.

·         Prioritisation of projects to meet demands from Customer service managers taking into account the cost benefit position of each project implementation.

·         Fully responsible and accountable for installations of access network transmission equipment up to expiry of guarantee period and before hand over to relevant Customer Service Managers.

·         Preparing tasks and objectives to subordinate engineers and technicians.

·         Tender specification, documentation and evaluation; contract administration and design compliance review

·         Development of annual quality plans and budget for the unit, which will impact positively on revenue enhancement.

MAIN PROJECTS HANDLED

1.   Masvingo Mars Project.

This project was for the provision of Telecommunication services to about 3000 rural customers in six exchange areas using Fixed Wireless Access systems.

·         Involved in the technical and financial evaluation of the bids

·         Involved in contract negotiations and drafting with the winning bidder

2.)   MIMOSA  VOICE AND DATA NETWORK

The aim of the project is to come up with a detailed proposal for the provision of voice and data services to the Murowa Project site.

·         Carrying out feasibility studies of radio and wireless local loop project through path profiles and site surveys before creating project files.
