Professional Experiences

Since March 2008: System Engineer at RASCOMSTAR-QAF (satellite operator).

Maintain technical data on the RascomStar-QAF satellite system communications payload -including technical spacecraft and ground segment parameters, and current payload configuration.

 

Interact with Communications Payload Control Center to obtain current configurations, and

requests for reconfiguration based on communications requirements (e.g., changes in SFD settings, etc.)

Support Customer Technical Support Sale (CTSS) with back-off engineering functions and proposal development for large customer projects such as broadband Internet Access,
DVB-S/S2/RCS, and TV Broadcasting.

Receive preliminary link budgets from CTSS, check against available capacity, and make final transponder and power/bandwidth assignments. Provide final link budgets to CTSS.

Ground Segment design and sizing (antenna sizing LNA, BUC, ACU) to various VSAT operators across the world.

Knowledge and experience in vendors VSAT Corporate Networks products and market trends for corporate and private networks.  

Perform communications system design and feasibility analysis to develop solutions that meet both the customer needs and the RascomStar-QAF strategies.


Work on satellite payload subsystem design for new satellite projects; Satellite antenna design, analysis and synthesis using SATSOFT.


Participate in satellites procurement activities (RFI, RFP... writing and proposals response analysis)

 

Provide support to the RascomStar-QAF regulatory department on space system frequencies coordination activities.

Well familiar with spacecraft subsystems preliminary design including (Mission analysis, Propulsion, Attitude Control, Power System, Thermal control, Command and Data System, Telecommunication and Structure).
