    OBJECTIVE: Seeking a position with as a Satellite Communications or Telecommunications Technician.


    SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS


    • Active Secret security clearance granted by the U.S. government valid until 2014
    • Over 5 years of satellite communications experience in the U.S. Army
    • Skilled in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting digital communications equipment
    • Experienced with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
    • Quick learner; willing to learn and handle any tasks required


    EXPERIENCE


    2003-Pres. Satellite Communications Technician (Operator/Maintainer) U.S. Army

    • Operated and maintained multi-million dollar Tri-Band Satellite Subsystem (TSS) in Germany with links to the U.S. with less than 5% down time for 24 consecutive months.
    • Fielded Trojan Lite Mobile Satellite System. Discovered and repaired equipment malfunction that delayed connectivity for over 72 hours and could not be resolved by system fielding team and trainers.
    • Operated and maintained MIST antenna along with monitoring connection with Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) while serving in Iraq.
    • Supervised 3 members of satellite communications team as first line supervisor and team leader.
    • Submitted comprehensive and timely reports to supervisors and satellite controllers.
    • Organized and conducted high quality training for groups of 25-50 people as training supervisor for 10 months.
    • Performed new tasks and duties in administrative office to create Powerpoint Slide presentations, reports on MS Word and Excel, and gave presentations to supervisors on a regular basis.
    • Worked outside of assigned job for over 2 years as assistant in training, operations, and physical security performing new tasks while receiving on the job training.
    • Maintained training calendars and produced weekly training schedules.
    • Took on and was given responsibilities well above pay grade and normal responsibility level because of ability to follow through and complete tasks.

    2002 High School Varsity Tennis Coach Rush County Schools

    • Coached and mentored 16 high school tennis players, with one player becoming one of the top 30 players in the state, being named All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention as well as reaching the 3rd round of the state tournament.
    • Tutored 4 players struggling to maintain grades for eligibility and raised each player’s grades an average of 10%.
    • Maintained discipline on and off the court, resulting in zero disciplinary actions of any players on the court, in school, or outside of school.


    1999-2000, 2002-2003 Delivery Driver Pizza Hut

    • Handled money and used basic math (addition/subtraction/multiplication) to find totals, figure in discounts with coupons, and give correct change for orders.
    • Maintained up to $500 a night with 100% accountability while driving around town to deliver pizzas.

    2001, 2002 Summer Employment Indiana Department of Transportation

    • Responsible for transporting over $500,000 worth of supplies and equipment with 0% loss or damage.
    • Assisted in inventorying supply room and maintaining a log book of supplies and parts issued to personnel.
