February 1995 Mechanical Engineering degree, score 95/110
1994 - 1995 Thesis development: "Actuators for mobile robots: electromechanical and non conventional solutions" (tutor: Prof. Giancarlo Genta). Thesis was about studying the possible employment of elastomeric materials as part of robotic actuators, as opposed to conventional devices like pneumatic cylinders, wires, oil cylinders. To perform the necessary tests, a small test bench was built, featuring a hand-made encoder, a couple of elastomeric cylinders, a load cell, a hand-made card to process signals coming from the encoder, and of course the software necessary to display the results (written originally in Pascal and then converted to C).
1988 - 1993 Mechanical Engineering university course at Politecnico of Torino, specialization in business economics and management. Apart from classical engineering disciplines like structures, fluid dynamics, motors, etc., economic disciplines were included, like marketing, micro and macro economy, etc.
1988 High school degree, score 58/60 at Liceo Scientifico Statale "Carlo Cattaneo" - Torino
English excellent
French basic knowledge
February 2002 Moved to Alenia Vibro-Acoustics team as Vibro-Acoustics specialist. New duties include Audible Noise analysis, Micro-G assessment, Shock and Random Vibration analysis, in the frame of International Space Station Nodes program, and other Alenia programs (mainly satellites). The job is carried out by means of Finite Elements code (NASTRAN), Statistical Energy Analysis code (AutoSEA), pre and post processing of data in Excel, internally developed software (written in VBA and Matlab mainly).
