Education Summary

Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic University (Madrid). Diploma thesis: ”Implementation of a Data Acquisition System for an Internal-combustion Engine”, configuration and set-up of data acquisition hardware and development of a graphical tool using Visual Basic to display data and generate further performance statistics.

Deimos Space S.L./ESAC 2005-2008

Currently working as a Senior Engineer of the Science Archives Team division at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) developing J2EE applications for the ESA Astronomical missions (XMM-Newton, ISO, Integral, Herschel) and for Planetary/Solar System missions (Mars Express, Cassini-Huygens, Rosetta, Smart-1 and SOHO).
Also working in the ESA VOSpace group to implement solutions that allow the interoperability of Science Archives across the world using GRID techniques.

Deimos Space S.L. 2002-2005

Senior Engineer of the Ground Segment Systems division in the development of the ESA ADEN PDS node of the ALOS Japanese satellite project that was launched in January 2006. Responsible for the module ’Common Services’ that included Java GUI services such as logging, configuration management, XML API’s and C libraries for Mission CFI Software (time and orbit calculation functions).
In addition involved in the development of theMission Planning Facility for the ADEN PDS of ALOS.

Junior Engineer of the Technology division developing Server-side applications in Java and Perl that connected with Oracle, LDAP and Tamino databases such as webmail, e-commerce services and Web hosting services for the www.eresmas.com portal.
