Group Project: ‘PRIMA: Precursor Rendezvous for Impact Mitigation of Asteroids’ The aim of the project was to design an asteroid impact mitigation mission precursor. Responsibilities included establishing mission requirements, selection and classification of threatening asteroids, mitigation concepts’ evaluation, and mitigation mission demonstration. Project speaker. Thesis : ‘Design and Evaluation for an ExoMars Robotic Manipulator’ (EADS Astrium ): Related to the developments of a proposed manipulator arm design along with a concept for an instrument workbench end – effector capable of being used on the ExoMars rover. Project involved use of CATIA software, static analyses and knowledge of robotics. |

Apeejay B.Eng Electronics and Communication Engineering (Grade: 1st) Main modules include: Satellite communications, radar and sonar engineering, microwave engineering, antenna and wave propagation, intelligent instrumentation, digital systems and signal processing, digital and analog electronics and engineering management. Group project: ‘Design of a Successive Approximation Register (SAR) using Bi-Phase Clocking technique’. Concerned with the design of a concept based SAR using both the phases of a clock signal instead of just one. Involved use of VHDL and circuit fabrication. Nominated for the best project in the Indian Industries Association (2006). |
