The board was a complex and powerfull processing system, that employs three FPGA and two TI DSP. The system uses JPEG2000 and H.264 compression and decompression IP cores; HD-SDI/3G-SDIand PCI-express for input-output data transfer; Sarial Rapid IO for intercommunication between all logic devices and for board-to-board data transfer; DDR2 for data processing. All these technologies are managed by the FPGA’s Board Support Package functions.
