Research Officer in « Optimal control theoretical perspective on object manipulation ». Currently implementing new experiments in virtual environments to investigate the control of bimanual movements. Involves programming real-time applications in C++/OpenGL with 2 robotic devices, force transducers and a stereoscopic 3D display. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) analysis on related paradigms to investigate neural correlates of learning and error processing. |

Research assistant in the Rehabilitation unit of the faculty of Medicine, UCL. Designed and implemented an experimental life science platform for dedicated real-time data acquisition in micro- and hyper-gravity. Industrial contacts with National Instruments (TX, Managed the 31st ESA parabolic flight campaign and controlled the experiment in-flight. Coordinated the campaign with Novespace ( Active member of a Topical Team organized by ESA: « Dynamics of Prehension in Microgravity and its applications to Robotics and Prosthetics ». |

PhD in the Center for Systems Engineering and Applied Mechanics and in the Rehabilitation unit, Université catholique de Co-supervision: Profs P. Lefèvre ( « The role of gravity in dexterous manipulation: a driving force rather than a perturbation ». Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and communications in international conferences (see annexe). Supervised 6 master students preparing their thesis in the field of engineering and medicine. Successfully managed 6 ESA parabolic flight campaigns (in the continuity of the 31st). Scientific contribution to the development of a proposal in response to the 2004 International Life Science Research Announcement (ILSRA-2004-0084-0133) selected for flight in the International Space Station (outstanding review score of 92 %). Participated in the specifications of a novel experimental life science platform for the International Space Station in collaboration with ESA and the spin-off company ARSALIS. |
