    International Space Station Biomedical Flight Controller (ISS BME)

    July 2003 - Present

    International Space Station (ISS) Mission Control Center (MCC) certified Biomedical Flight Controller.  Provide real time Medical Operations hardware support to ISS astronauts in collaboration with ISS Flight Surgeons.  Serve as primary representative of ISS Medical Operations and Crew Health Care Systems (CHeCS) hardware in Mission Control.  Accumulated ~1000 hours of training in MCC and ~2500 hours as a certified Flight Controller.

    ISS Increment 18 ISS BME Deputy Increment Manager (present)

    Collaborate with Lead ISS BME Increment Manager, Flight Surgeon, and ISS Increment Management Team to establish Medical Operations requirements and planning products for the ISS Increment 18 crew.  

     

    ISS BME Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Lead (April 2006-present)

    Coordinate and integrate operational products for the Jules Verne ATV test flight.  Provide training to the ISS BME group for all crew health impact ATV operations.

     

    ISS Increment 16 ISS BME Technical Liaison (October 2007-April 2008)

    Served as technical liaison between the ISS BME and CHeCS Engineering teams.  Coordinated the generation and implementation of troubleshooting plans for CHeCS hardware.

     

    ISS Increment 15 ISS BME Increment Manager (April-October 2007)

    Worked with NASA Increment Management Team to implement Medical Operations requirements for ISS astronauts and develop an increment activity schedule.  Coordinated operational products with hardware specialists and continuously interacted with the Increment Management Team to prioritize crew activities and establish a final operating plan for the ISS crew.  Organized and distributed status reports and other pertinent information to the ISS BME and Flight Surgeon groups.

     

    European Space Agency Biomedical Flight Controller (ESA BME) (August-November 2006)

    Supported ISS ESA BME operations at the European Astronaut Center in Cologne, Germany.  Provided support of the ESA BME Mission Control console.  Contributed to the establishment of standards and knowledge base for the developing ESA Med Ops program.

     

    ISS BME Flight Lead, 12A/STS-116 Mission (August 2006)

    Coordinated all operational aspects of the 12A/STS-116 mission for the ISS BME team, including integration of CHeCS hardware manifest information and construction of the ISS Med Ops docked operations timeline.
