    Working for Thales on behalf of Camelot replacing their existing ISDN Lottery system with a Hughes based VSAT system, Thales hope to have the system operational by November 2008 which involves converting some 3000 sites nationwide. The main responsibilities of my role are as follows


    * Site survey

    * Supervise members of staff on site

    * Carry out risk assessments on each site visited

    * Complete a schedule of works certificate

    * Assess what is required for the installation

    * Assign tasks to my junior engineer

    * Install and test VSAT antenna, cable & receiver unit

    * Download new parameters into receiver unit

    * Carry out ping tests with hub

    * Sign off on completed task and download worksheets to central office
