Verhaert Space, located in Kruibeke, develops scientific experiments for research in space focused on the International Space Station and other microgravity environments. Verhaert is also active in the development of satellites and is currently building its second satellite "PROBA2" for ESA. We wish to strengthen our team with an "electronic system engineer".
Job description:
You are responsible for the electronics/software development within the framework of an instrument or satellite. You take care of the technical coherence and determine the project approach. You guide the technical team in close consultation with the project manager. You translate requirements of the customer into technical specifications and direct the team to achieving the determined objectives. You cut knots and work out solutions.
Desired skills/experience/knowledge:
You have a master degree in electronics or similar by experience. Experience in electronics and software is an obvious asset. You like to take initiative. You are a real team player and can co-ordinate/direct technical project tasks. You are multidisciplinary and have good communication skills. You have a strong analytical mind. You are creative and can suggest, implement/guard solutions. You are fluent in Dutch and English.
