    Job Description AIT AOCS Test Engineer

    Job Profile

    Become part of the AIT Electrical department to perform Electrical preparation, Integration and test functions for the AOCS Subsystem on simulators, test benches and flight spacecraft;

    Produce specs from test requirements; write test plans, AIT Plans, test procedures and test reports.

    Perform electrical integration and testing of electronic units, subsystems and instruments, payloads and spacecraft and control the documentation associated with performing these tasks.

    Defining electrical test aids and cables, designing test equipment, overseeing the manufacture/procurement and validation.

    Production and maintenance of Automatic Test Procedures (i.e. software) on the AOCS subsystem.

    AIT TM/TC Database configuration and control.

    Be familiar with a wide range of electrical/RF test and measurement equipment.

    Plan and control workload of the AIT electrical team consisting of engineers and technicians.

    Be able to operate the Spacecraft EGSE to support the AIT spacecraft integration, test, environmental test and launch activities.

    Be able to travel overseas to work for short periods.

    Be able to integrate quickly and easily into an AIT team.

    Highly motivated and possess good problem solving skill.


    Qualifications and/or Skills

    All candidates shall have a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering discipline, clear report writing and presentation skills.

    Previous Experience

    Essential:
    Spacecraft electrical testing on prime projects is essential
    Production of high quality documentation (test specs, test plans, test procedures, AIT Plans, DDV plans)
    Experience in the Space industry

    Desirable:
    Production and maintenance of Automatic Test Procedures (i.e. software).
    Knowledge of AOCS, experience of AOCS S/S and Closed Loop testing
    CCS CGS experience
    Experience of using UCL
