    Job Description
    Callisto is an international company and provides consultancy and engineering expertise for space communication systems, principally for ground stations. Callisto has been recognized and listed by the European Space Agency since 1993.
     
    We are currently seeking to recruit an additional engineer for our client based in Germany.
     
    In addition to having a University degree (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline, ideal candidates should have demonstrated significant and current experience the following area:
    • Data Collection System in GEO satellites
    • Design and implementation of CCSDS specific space Link Services and protocols
    • Ground Station  system and subsystem design and implementation for TTC, mission specific and satellite communication ground stations
    • IOT subsystems and Ground Station and IOT test procedures
    • System experience with link budget analysis and tools in frequencies relevant to Eumetsat mission.
    • Standard RF and microwave tools and S/W package for generation of signal processing related simulation
    • Design /implementation of large system components of Ground or space systems.
     
     
    • Languages: English (reading, written, spoken) mandatory, German and or French knowledge being considered as an asset.
    • The variety of the tasks and the scope of the system to be support require a high degree of autonomy..
    • EU National or a current valid work permit to work in an EU country.
     
    The position will be for an initial contract of 2 years from January 2009. The employment package includes supplemental insurance package contributed to by the company (health care, retirement and disability). Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.
