    Job description:

    Senior Electrical Systems Engineer for Satellite Harness is required to participate in the satellite harness design, manufacturing and integration. The successful candidate will lead a team of Altran consultants providing engineering support during the following phases of the project:

     

    ·         Phase 1 (Activities during ATP):

    • Preparation of Harness Requirements
    • Preparation of Mechanical and Electrical ICDs
    • Preparation of Pin-to-Pin allocation lists
    • Preparation of Connectors Lists

    ·         Phase 2 (Preliminary and Detailed Design):

    • Voltage drop calculations
    • Harness Mass Budget Calculations
    • Harness Thermal Analysis
    • Preparation of Design / Justification reports
    • ICDs checking
    • Design of Layer 1 (Circuit diagram)
    • Design of Layer 2 (Pin to Pin allocation)
    • Routing of harness
    • Bracket definition

    ·         Phase 3 (Engineering Support Manufacturing):

    • Support Harness Manufacturing

    ·         Phase 4 (Installation Support):

    • Harness Integration Support

     

    Tasks:

     

    - Analyze, optimize and configure satellite harnesses

    - Produce and maintain documentation such as specifications, analysis reports, test procedures and test reports

    - Produce construction documents

    - Arrange the procurement of components and materials

    - Oversee, supervise and manage engineering team

    - Support satellite projects from the proposal phase through to the final acceptance

    - Present the results of your work to the customer

     

    Profile:

     

    - Degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering or comparable qualifications

    - Several years of professional experience in designing electrical systems, ideally in the satellite technology/cable harnesses area

    - Conversant with Telelogic (DOORS)

    - Experienced in using Microsoft products, particularly MS Project

    - Confident in negotiations with customers

    - Willingness to travel

    - Flexibility and able to swiftly work your way into new duties

    - Excellent written and spoken English skills
