    Background:
     
    The ACRA Business Unit of Curtiss-Wright Controls Avionics & Electronics is an industry leader in the area of aerospace & space data acquisition systems. Curtiss-Wright is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, service and integration of equipment for defence, aerospace, naval and industrial applications. 
     
     
    Position Overview:
     
    A new position is available within the Space Engineering team at ACRA to take responsibility for product assurance and safety activities for data handling equipment developed for space applications. The ideal candidate is an all-rounder with a mix of experience in product assurance and safety. Some background in electronic and/or mechanical design and project management is desirable. He/she needs to be able to take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of project deliverables including all critical product assurance and safety documentation.
     
     
    Responsibilities:
     
    ¤  Plan and carry out the Product Assurance & Safety activities for electronic equipment according to ESA and/or NASA requirements.
     
    ¤  Prepare the Product Assurance and Safety documentation in accordance with customer requirements and ESA standards in all phases of the project including design and development, procurement, manufacturing, test and integration phases.
     
    ¤  Configuration and verification control, change and non-conformance management.
     
    ¤  Plan Product Assurance activities in the proposal phase of projects.
     
    ¤  Keep up regular contact with the customer and help negotiate Product Assurance issues.
     
    ¤  Adhere to project management best practices.
     
     
    Requirements:
     
    ¤  University degree in Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant discipline.
     
    ¤  Relevant experience in Product Assurance, Safety, Reliability and Quality Assurance activities for spaceflight electronic equipment & subsystems.
     
    ¤  Ability to identify risks and to be an independent thinker as well as have ability to work in team environment.
     
    ¤  Fluent English; both spoken and written.
