A video view from the Iranian TV station Al-Alam shows Saturday's launch of the Safir rocket. Initially, Iranian media said that the rocket put the nation's first home-produced communications satellite into orbit, but later reports maintained that the mission was merely a test of the launch vehicle.Iranian officials say a rocket launch last weekend was merely a test, but U.S. military intelligence officials now see it as a failed attempt to put a satellite in orbit.

The inner core is the central 500 miles and is solid metal.Something beneath the surface is changing Earth's protective magnetic field, which may leave satellites and other space assets vulnerable to high-energy radiation.

    Job DescriptionHE Space Operations is a steadily growing international space company. We open the door to working directly on-site with our principal customers in the space sector who rank among the top 25 engineering employers in Europe: EADS and the European Space Agency.

    Activities:
    You will lead a team of Systems Engineers to develop a Launcher upper stage tank system. In your role as Lead Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities:
    • -> Team management
    •   -> Development, design, processing of develop projects concerning Systems Engineering tasks (Requirements management, technical coordination)
    •   -> Contribution to development of strategic targets and the related implementation strategies 
    •   -> Coordination and processing of internal R&D programs and studies/ development programs for space agencies
    •   -> Contribution to proposal-management team 
    •  
      Skills:
      You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
    • - University degree in appropriate subject (e.g. Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical engineering)
    • - Specialisation in development/design of Aerospace Systems
    • - Experience in design of structures and/or tanks
    • - Several years of experience in Systems Engineering
    • - Systems knowledge of Ariane 5-ESC-A upper stages development would be beneficial
    • - Experience in team leading and ability to work in a team environment 
    • - Ability to work in team
    • - Fluency in English is mandatory and the knowledge of French would be advantageous
