    Job Description

    Tasks:

    ·        Manage spacecraft database defining all telemetry and telecommands, including setup, maintenance, version and configuration control and support to users, in coordination with the Project and Industrial Teams

    ·        Support definition and review of requirements and interfaces for other systems (e.g. MCS, simulator, Flight Dynamics)

    ·        Create and maintain operational procedures for ground systems and spacecraft configuration

    ·        Support ground systems tests, simulations and System Validation Test (SVT) campaigns in database-related issues

    ·        Support Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and routine operations before launch in database-related issues

    ·        Liaise the Flight Control Team with other operations teams (e.g. Software Support, Flight Dynamics, Ground Stations Network)

    ·        Supervise team of Spacecraft Controllers, including production of reports and shift plans

    ·        Produce spacecraft routine operations reports

    ·        Support investigations of spacecraft and ground system anomalies

    Essential requirements:

    ·        University degree in a relevant field (e.g. physics, electronics, computer, aerospace, telecommunications engineering) or relevant previous spacecraft operations experience

    ·        Familiarity with spacecraft operations and mission control concepts

    ·        Good knowledge of database systems (MS Access, Oracle, SQL)

    ·        Good knowledge of both UNIX and Windows operating systems

    ·        Good communication skills

    ·        Very good communication, presentation and team working skills combined with the ability to perform under very high workloads

    ·        The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and obtain a system overview.

    ·        Good analytical skills.

    Desirable skills:

    ·        Programming experience (desirable)

    ·        Knowledge of SCOS-2000 (desirable)

    ·        Ability to work autonomously

     

    Other information e.g. dual location, special security clearance, foreign languages:

    Fluency in English (mandatory)

    Candidate must be either an EU National or have a valid working permit to work in Germany

    On-call and shift work will be required for the position
