    The Context


    LSE Space Engineering and Operations AG is one of the main support providers of qualified and motivated engineers to the Directorate of Operations at ESOC. The European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) operates and maintains the ESA network of ground stations (ESTRACK).

    We are looking for several motivated and experience technicians and engineers to support ESOC. The requested support is for the maintenance of generic control center infrastructure, remote operations of the ESTRACK ground station network and for the ESTRACK Integrated Logistics Support.

     

     

    Your Task

     

    We are looking for  

    • Ground-STATION MONITORING AND CONTROL engineer

     that will support ESA at ESOC.

    ESOC has a Test and Reference Facility connected which reproduces the characteristics and performances of an ESTRACK ground station. The Facility is used to test and validate new equipment in a representative environment before installing it in a ground station.

    In particular, the Facility is used to validate monitoring and control (M&C) functions of new equipment. This includes:

    • specify necessary tailoring requirements for the Station Computer (central M&C system of the ground station)
    • review M&C requirements with developer and end users
    • validate the M&C system in the Test Facility according to applicable software verification and validation plan

     

     Your Profile

    Senior engineer with at least 5 years experience in the following domains:

    • monitoring and control of devices
    • validation of monitoring and control functions
    • monitoring and control Interface Control Documentation (ICD) from the monitoring and control ICD, specifying requirements for the central system displays in charge of ground station monitoring and control
    • knowledge of ESOC Ground Station Systems Integration Standard (DTOS-SYST-GST-ST-1001-OPS-GS) and in MS Office tools (inc. Power Point) is an advantage
