    Job Description

MDA is expanding its already successful antenna engineering team, and is looking for a senior spacecraft antenna design engineer. The candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop state-of-the-art spacecraft communication antennas. He will be part of a design team or assume a supervisory role to perform RF analyses of antenna system performance, and use industry standard modeling tools (e.g. TICRA) to predict performance in the space environment, thermal and manufacturing distortion, scattering, as well as coupling with spacecraft and other antennas. He will also perform high-power capability assessments of antenna designs (e.g. PIM & Multipactor) and conduct design and customer reviews (internal design reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews [PDR], Critical Design Reviews [CDR]) to ensure that RF performance requirements are met. He will provide RF support during testing of antenna feed chains and antenna assemblies and will contribute to R&D programs and proposals.

    Competencies

Candidate must have a strong Electromagnetic / microwave background and experience in the design of spacecraft antennas. Experience in the field of spacecraft antenna products (e.g. feed chains, reflector antenna systems). Self- driven and motivated individual.
