As a gifted IT professional, I significantly increased productivity and quality controls for small and large organizations. Working with end users to determine requirements, needs and expectations, I am skilled at troubleshooting problems in data and application structure.
With well-developed technical and business expertise, I quickly meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. I earned my MS in Information Technology/Project Management from Colorado Technical University, where I also received a BS in Computer Science. A retired Air Force NCO, I hold a Secret Security Clearance. I have been described as a dynamic and operations-oriented leader as well as an effective trainer and mentor.
Graduate Student/Volunteer, 2008 to present.
Took sabbatical to complete graduate program.
During this time volunteered as facilitator for PMI Mile Hi Chapter monthly workshops as well.
Owner/Operator, HVH Transportation, 2005 to 2008, OTR Driver, Crete Carrier Corporation,
2004 to 2005. Coordinated freight transport/delivery, and selected freight/routes to maximize profits. Held P&L responsibility, managed business development, equipment maintenance and day-to-day operations as independent contractor.
Professional Development, 2002 to 2004. Took advantage of opportunity to complete undergraduate degree.
Senior Quality Assurance Specialist I, Comsys/World Com, 2000 to 2002. Promoted to manage full lifecycle testing, including unit, black box, integration, and regression tests. Led 8 staff members, managed relations with vendors and internal/external customers. Completed complex software upgrades with no fallout issues.
Project Manager/Quality Assurance Specialist, Comsys, 1998 to 2000. Hired to manage and define system specifications to meet management and operations department requirements. Developed test plans, including tasks and schedules, coordinated test activities.
Senior Systems Analyst/Engineer, L3 Communications, 1995 to 1998. Managed staff of 15 in performing system analysis and identifying test/training requirements for Global Positioning Satellite Program's Operational Control Segment software. Developed test plans, tested software changes providing shortened training time for clients.
Earlier: United States Air Force. Promoted to positions of increasing responsibility including Director, Communication-Computer System Directorate, Manager, Prototype Space Operations Division, and Manager, Space Operations Training Branch.
