    HCR and HCLOS NG Projects:
     
    The main objectives of these two major Projects are to develop and field advanced Software Define Radios
    using the SCA architecture standard.
    Using the Green Hills RTOS / Tools, designed, coded, tested and integrated all the kernel components:
    • Power up two new PCB controllers based on Freescale MPC8544E and MPC8555E processors.
    • Freescale eDINK Bootloader, GHS Probe scripts.
    • Power management (Full on, Doze, Nap and sleep states) driver.
    • Spansion FATLite/TrueFFS file system.
    • Interpeak IP Stack, SNMP v2, v3.
    • Integrity Kernel configuration, BSP IODevices, SNMP v2, v3 backend agent.
    • IOCTL drivers for the communication with the Virtual Address Spaces from the kernel space.
     
    For both Projects:
     
    • Coached and provided guidance, instructions and directions to several team members in order to achieve key results.
    • Monitored the quantitative and qualitative results achieved by several team members.
    • Helped prioritize tasks and identify responsible members within the team to carry out those tasks.

    IP-over-1394 Integrity-178B Project:
     
    The main objective of the project is to convert the current implementation of the IP-over-1394
    bus driver from VxWorks to the Integrity-178B RTOS and improve its robustness.
    • Designed and implemented the High-Level Software architecture using RTOS services supported
                    by Integrity-178B (Virtual & Kernel Address Spaces, IODevices, Memory Regions and Activities).
    • Converted the existing driver implementation from VxWorks to Integrity-178B.
    • Removed infinite loops, improved faults tolerance, reduced data & control coupling.
    • Set up lab equipment and execute Software Integration Test Plan.
    • System Integration into the SmartDeck flight deck product at L-3 Communications, Avionics Systems in Columbus, Ohio.
    • Provided Software support to customer on problem reports and change requests.

    EX-Site Emulator Project:
     
    The main function of the application is to provide an emulation environment to test the IP network by generating traffic load on it.
    • Designed and implemented the following modules using VxWorks RTOS services:
     Distribution module used to generate call duration and rate values according to a Poisson, Random or Exponential law.
     Call Generator module used to generate the Control plane messages.
     Control Channel module used to process the incoming messages.
     Voice Channel module used to generate the appropriate Voice Packets according to the current position within a Voice file.
     Voice Sequencer used to synchronize the TDMA Voice Plane using a GPS.
     Auxiliary clock driver used to synchronize the VxWorks periodic Tasks.
     Shared memory communication used to broadcast GPS data (GPS time and 1 PPS) over a
        CompactPCI back plane supporting up to seven MCPN750 PowerPC cards.
    • Supervision of junior software developers.
    • Integration Field Trials at Customer premises in Chicago.
    • Software support to customers on problem reports and change requests.

    UDI (Universal Digital Interface) Project:
     
    The main function of the UDI application is to provide a concentrated and non-concentrated signaling interfaces

     Generic Call Processing Finite State Machine.
     E-lead module (Offhook, Onhook, HookFlash, Pulsed Onhook, Dial Pulse).
     Ring and M-Lead modules (Initial Ring, Ring Cadences, Fee-Pulse).
     National Specific Implementation: (Call Processing Options, Elead filtering timing,
                    Ring cadences table, Fee Pulse duration table, State timers).
    • Signalling protocols implemented were V5.2, AXE, DX200 and NEAX.
    • Supervision of two summer students.
    • Integration Field Trial at Customer premises in Hilversum, Holland.
