PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
2010 - present:One year contract at the European Space Agency (ESA) Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk (The Netherlands) as a Young Graduate Trainee. Work related to radiation effects on microelectronic devices carried out in the Space Environments and Effects section of the Technical and Quality management directorate.
2009 – 2010: Research contract in the “High Energy Physics” group of the Complutense University in Madrid (UCM), analyzing scientific gamma-ray data from NASA’s “Fermi” satellite mission and carrying out performance based optimization of the design of the future ground based gamma-ray Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) observatory. Regular stays at the Max-Planck Institute of Munich, were the project was based.
Summer 2008: Part time contract during 2 months (300 hours) participating in research and development of components in radio frequencies for electronic countermeasures as a student in internship period according to the agreement between the university UCM and Indra Sistemas, S.A.
2007 – 2008: Tutor student cooperating in the teaching of the subject “Calculus I” of the first year of the Physics degree at UCM.
Since 2005: Giving private lessons in physics and mathematics at secondary and first year university level.
ACADEMIC HISTORY:
2009-2010: Master of Science inFundamental Physicsobtained with a research grant at the “High Energy Physics” group of UCM developing the masters final project titled “High Energy Astrophysics in the Era of the Satellite borne observatory Fermi” (final score of 8.5/10, amongst best 10%).
2009-present: Studying towards the Degree of Economics (Grado en Economía) through the Spanish National Distance University (UNED).
2004-2009: Physical Science Degree (Licenciado en Ciencias Físicas) at the UCM (Madrid, Spain) with specialization in Fundamental Physics (final score of 8.1/10, amongst best 5%). Participant in the European student exchange program “Erasmus” in the Faculty of Physical Sciences of the “Terza Università Statale di Roma” (Rome, Italy) during the 2008-09 academic year.

February 2011: Introduction to Project Risk Management course (ESTEC internal training course) in Noordwijk (Netherlands) providing an overview of the risk management process and risk assessment and estimation techniques.
September 2010: Introduction to Space Systems Engineering course(ESTEC internal training course through the University of Southampton), in Noordwijk (Netherlands)providing a broad view of the space mission and an insight into the working of its systems and how the interact with each other.
May 2010: Basic First Aid course, Spanish Red Cross.
April 2010: Participant in the “School on Fermi science tools” data analysis course at the “Universidad Autónoma de Madrid” (UAM) working on the data processing from NASA’s gamma-ray satellite mission “Fermi”.
2009: One semester (100 hour) electronics course at the Electronic Engineering faculty of the "Roma Tre" Statal University (Rome, Italy), learning the functional principles of the main devices (diodes, bipolar transistors and field effect transistors) and their main applications in electronic circuits, particularly as logic gates and amplifiers.
