Description –This thesis deals with the flight formation of multiple unmanned air vehicles in performance of tasks such as surveillance, reconnaissance, target attack etc. Control algorithm has been developed on the basis of natural instinct behavior like avoiding collision with each other, obstacle avoidance, target seeking and formation keeping. Each instinct is given a priority based on the circumstances and at any given time only one instinct dominates. Static and dynamic obstacles are created and it is shown that the group avoids inter vehicle collision, avoid the obstacles, maintain the formation and seek the target. The simulation is done for an arbitrary number of vehicles in virtual reality environment using Matlab-Simulink modeling tool.
