Overview After graduating in 2008, he worked for 6 months as a contract research engineer at Alta SpA on high-power plasma thrusters. In January 2009 he enrolled at the University of Pisa as granted Ph.D Student of Aerospace Engineering.
Research His main interests are in hollow cathodes and electromagnetic plasma thrusters. In particular he was involved in both ESA-TRP and EU-FP7 projects aimed at developing high-power electric thrusters for interplanetary missions.
Tutoring Since 2008 he supervised 6 MSc thesis concerning plasma physics and electric propulsion technology.
2008–Current Research engineer at Alta S.p.A., Pisa, Italy
Design and testing of high power plasma thrusters with emphasis on cathode technology. He provided technical documentation including test procedures, specifica-tions and test reports. Active participation to all the technical review processes (SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR/TRB).
