    Project Manager for space activities (SATCOM Department)

    Vitrociset Belgium Sprl, Transinne (Belgium).

    The SATCOM department provides improved turn-in-key solutions and services for satellite ground stations.  Accountable for managing the delivery of critical projects, also responsible for providing monthly financial and technical updates to the PMO. Since, has worked on numerous projects, some of these are outlined below: 

    Eumetsat 3rd generation meteorological satellite (MTG) level 2 ground processing facilities design and implementation with a project budget of €2.5M. High level of complexity due to the challenging subject matter and to the need to find a solution that would work for the whole MTG lifecycle. A comprehensive project plan was produced including scope, schedule, financial, risk, quality, resource, communication and procurement management plans.

    Results: Project ongoing, on time and on budget

    Realization of a cyber-security range for the European Space Agency for training ESA staff against cyber criminals inside a simulated satellite control environment with a project budget of €105K. Worked directly with ESA staff and consortium stakeholders.  Accountable for costing, estimating and planning projects as well as for producing and maintaining project documentation. Responsible for resources allocation.

    Results: Project ongoing, on time and under budget

    Belgian’s Ministry of Defence satellite infrastructures. Project budget 1M€. Responsible for external supplier management and project staff.  Intensive customer relationship established.

    Results: Project ongoing, on time and under budget

    EUTELSAT KASAT site manager for maintaining in operation 4 satellite beacon ground stations around Europe with a budget of €80K/year. Providing high quality, up-to-date documentation for all service arrangements. Motivating and guiding the team in investigating the technical issues. Keeping costs down by focusing on the optimization. Taking corrective action where inadequate performances were suspected.

    Results: Service ongoing.

    INTA's tracking radar installation for ESA's for experimental launch (at Centre Spatial Guyanais). Responsible for the on field problem solving and accountable for the logistic aspects. Responsible for stakeholder and project staff management (subcontractors included).

    Results: Completed project on time of schedule and with client acclaim.

    Moving of a 9.8m IOT antenna cassegrain antenna from Redu (Belgium) to Maderia (Portugal). Accountable for on field problem solving and logistic aspects. Responsible for external project staff management

    Results: Completed project up to 1 month ahead of schedule and with client acclaim.
