    The main role of GIS expert in this project to create, maintain and disseminate information on a suitable GIS platform for basin planning, integrated water resource/ management, optimal use of surface and ground water and inter-Sectoral water allocation.

    • Creation of GIS database for the basins of Uttar Pradesh so that basin wise water resources development and management plans can be prepared.
    • To perform change detection analysis based on the time series data on various aspects pertaining to water resources and to perform analysis for future trends.
    • Preparation of GIS based atlas of water quantity and quality (both Surface and Ground Water), rainfall, flood and other water related aspects.
